A few years ago, my big sister gave me a subscription to a parenting magazine I'd never heard of. The magazine was still fairly new at the time, and I'm not sure how many have heard of it even now. I LOVE about this magazine not only because it's chock full of articles and information rather than an overabundance of advertising or flashy pictures as is the case in so many other magazines. I love this magazine because the philosophy behind it is that our "mom" self and our "woman" self should not exist separately but as part of the same. That's why the articles between the covers highlight our Mommy needs and interests as well as our personal needs and interests. Even better, it strives to create a balance and harmony between our two selves, so that we can be our woman selves while mommying. Honestly, isn't that what we'd all like?
